Description

This is a new character of mine, Warren (guardian). I'd love to hear any critiques, as I'm still working to define my own style.

He is a Fu Beast/Human hybrid who has recently gained the power to police the border between the Nevernever and human world in an attempt to prevent dangerous entities from destroying the barrier between mundane and supernatural realities. For this scene, he has partially transformed, gaining the claws, fangs, and musculature of his feral, yet divine heritage. He is rather shy much of the time, and feels a bit awkward about being so bulky and muscular, constantly fretting over how others will perceive him.

Well, my roommate received the Dresden Files RPG sourcebook for Christmas, so we've been coming up with characters. I'm playing with the idea of a 'scion of power' build. In the Dresdenverse, some ancient holy beast crossbred with a large breed of dog to produce Foo dogs. I decided that my character would be the offspring of a similar holy beast with a human. I was also inspired by the account of werewolves as the 'wolves of God', given the power to dive into local instances of hell and battle demons on equal terms. Additionally, I took inspiration from Michelangelo, as he employed exaggerated and (at the time) humanly impossible musculatures to represent divinity.

Also... while chatting with my roommate:
Guard: "I dunno, drawing muscles is a bit relaxing, like painting a landscape"
Roommate: "LOL... a MANSCAPE"
Guard: *Blushes*

My poor character, I suppose I've turned you into cheesecake... Perhaps I'm too influenced by Masamune Shiro; instead of exaggerating the woman's bosom, I overdo the male musculature instead.
>.<; This isn't meant to be sexy... just a representation of his physical superpower.
